The College now offers 13 Honours subjects, 16 General subjects, one Major Course (OMSV) in Arts, Science and Commerce streams and NCTE approved B.P.Ed course. Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU), a distance learning University is also successfully operating from this college as a study centre. Besides, in the preceding years many developmental programmes have been taken up by the college. Remedial Coaching, Coaching for Entry - in - Service funded by UGC are also running successfully. The teachers and supporting staff are efficient, devoted, friendly and sincere.The teaching method includes helping each student through class tests for academic progress, personal contact programme (PCP) and extra curicular activities apart from delivery of lectures in the classroom.

Office Management and Secretarial Practice (OMSV) is an self financing Vocational Undergraduate Course and any candidate having OMSV degree is eligible to get any Govt. Or public or private sector job and services where eligibility criteria is graduation. OMSV degree holders are also eligible to appear in School Service Commission (SSC) examination as a candidate in the post of a pass teachers in any of his/her general paper opted in undergraduate studies. Students of OMSV has a bright future in Job Prospect Avenue. This course generates skill in Govt. Office management as well as in large merchant office management. This course is so design tha a pass out OMSV student can be an expert manager of various sectors. In the introduction of advanced technology and downsizing the space as well as number of employees in the office, it became difficult to work out all the assignment in time. However, in the proper way by means of exact use of man power, it may be possible to overcome the situation. In Office Management and Secretarial Practice (OMSV) course we teach office management, secretarial practice, book keeping, accountancy, fundamentals of computers, internet, Tally,HTML,Access, E-mail, computer type, shorthand, spoken english, skill to develop personality, letter drafting in various manners. Each topic has both theory and practical part.
It is a three year Major Vocational Course. This course consists of 800 marks major course, two general papers each 300 marks and in part-III three compulsory subjects such as Bengali, English and Environmental studies each with 50 marks. Along with the OMSV major course, one student can choose any two general papers following the restriction laid down by the college authority.
